Enrollment and Admission Policies
Starting your IT career journey with TechEd Australia is straightforward. Our enrolment and admission policies ensure a smooth process for all prospective students, including those over 35 looking to change careers or upskill.
To enrol, select your desired course from our catalog. You will be guided through a simple online application form. Some courses may have specific technical prerequisites or require a brief introductory assessment to ensure suitability. All requirements are clearly stated on individual course pages.
We welcome students of all ages and backgrounds. While some programs have age recommendations for optimal learning outcomes, there are no strict age limits. For applicants aged 16-17, parental consent may be required.
Our pricing is transparent, with no hidden fees. Course fees are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD). We offer flexible payment options, including upfront payment with a small discount, or installment plans over the duration of your course. Accepted payment methods include major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Amex) and bank transfers.
A deposit may be required upon enrolment, with the balance due according to your chosen payment schedule. Failure to adhere to payment schedules may result in temporary suspension of course access until payments are up to date.
Courses have fixed start dates, which are published on our website. In exceptional circumstances, if you are unable to commence your course on the scheduled date, you may apply for a deferral to a later intake. All deferral requests must be submitted in writing to Student Services at least 14 days before the original start date and are subject to administrative fees and availability.
Refund, Withdrawal, and Course Transfer Policies
We understand that circumstances can change. Our policies are designed to be fair and accommodating while managing the operational costs of delivering high-quality education.
TechEd Australia offers a 30-day money-back guarantee for all new enrolments. If you are not satisfied with your course for any reason within 30 days of your official course start date, you may request a full refund of all tuition fees paid. This guarantee is valid provided you have not accessed more than 20% of the course content.
Should you need to withdraw after the 30-day guarantee period, you must notify Student Services in writing. Partial refunds are calculated based on the proportion of the course completed and resources accessed:
- Withdrawal within 31-60 days of course start: 50% refund of remaining tuition fees.
- Withdrawal after 60 days: No refund.
- An administration fee of $150 AUD applies to all withdrawals outside the 30-day guarantee.
Our Student Services team can provide a detailed breakdown for your specific situation. Appeals for special circumstances (e.g., medical emergency) will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Students may request to transfer to a different course or specialization within TechEd Australia, subject to eligibility criteria and availability. A course transfer fee of $100 AUD applies. Transferred fees will be credited to the new course, with any difference either paid by the student or refunded by the school, as applicable.
Academic Standards and Student Conduct
Maintaining a strong academic environment is crucial for effective learning. Our policies foster integrity, respect, and a supportive community for all our students.
TechEd Australia upholds the highest standards of academic integrity. Plagiarism, cheating, collusion, or any other form of academic dishonesty is strictly prohibited. All submitted work must be your own original effort.
We utilize advanced detection tools and provide clear guidelines and resources to help students understand and avoid academic misconduct. Violations will result in disciplinary action, ranging from a failing grade for the assignment to expulsion from the program.
Our virtual learning environments require respectful and professional conduct. Harassment, discrimination, disruptive behavior, or inappropriate communication will not be tolerated. Students are expected to contribute positively to discussions and collaborate respectfully with peers and instructors.
Your performance will be assessed through a combination of assignments, quizzes, projects, and practical exercises, as outlined in each course syllabus. Grading criteria are transparently provided. Students have the right to appeal grades or assessment outcomes if they believe there has been an error or unfair process. Details of the appeals process are available from Student Services.
